Distress

Description-
A portrait style digital artwork consisting of various photographs merged together to create a unified piece of natural subject matter ranging from moons to creatures. The subjects are placed from large to small but with the exception of having the snake and the bird to be larger than the moons most likely for symbolism or to emphasize the subject itself.

Analysis/interpretation

The focal point for myself is the bird on the moon because it is closest to the light source. A limited colour palette has been used to most likely convey the meaning of this artwork "distress". The subjects are aligned in a way that allows the viewer to be taken on a journey of visual highlighted imagery until the reach the snakes head and are lost into a dark black/blue pit ending the journey and ultimately leaving the viewer lost.

Evaluation -
The artist has successfully conveyed his message through subject matter, lighting, size and most importantly story and visual focal points. One downfall for me is the triangles; they seem to be a weird choice, the triangles end up throwing my eye off every time I try to follow the artworks path. But overall I give it an 9.0 to a close 9.5.
